    What is a Labiaplasty?

Due to the natural ageing process, our intimate area changes over time. The vagina becomes less elastic, shorter and narrower as the tissue constricts due to the lack of oestrogen. The labia (lips) are folds of skin around your vaginal opening. They can appear looser or look bigger due to age-related loss of elastin and collagen.

The labiaplasty in London provides many benefits for those looking to restore confidence and decrease the size of their vagina lips. Corrected concerns include a reduced size of the labia minora (inner vaginal lips), reduced size of the labia majora (outer vaginal lips) and helping to restore a symmetrical look to the intimate area. For some women, an enlarged labia can be uncomfortable, leading them to look for a permanent solution.

Also known as vulva surgery or a ‘designer vagina’, the labia surgery can increase comfort during sex and everyday life, restore confidence and lead to enhanced pleasure during intercourse. Many women, after childbirth, feel unhappy about the appearance of their labia and vagina. The labiaplasty at London Private Hospital reverses this, leading to a tidier and tighter-looking vagina. Fortunately, a labiaplasty is a short, simple, and relatively low-risk procedure.

    Labiaplasty Surgery

The surgery is performed using either a general or a local anaesthetic, and results can be seen immediately after. The procedure will generally take around 2 hours to complete, eliminating unwanted excess skin and sagging. After treatment, you will feel more confident about your intimate area and will be able to enjoy a more symmetrical and proportionate shape.

Although there are often no medical reasons to undergo labiaplasty surgery, cosmetic results can be excellent. The labiaplasty is also suitable for women who have more sagging or excess skin on one side of the vagina.

Our approachable and friendly surgeons will provide you with natural-looking results that you can enjoy following treatment. Firstly, you will attend a discreet medical consultation with our team to discuss your concerns and goals. During your appointment, we will take a full medical history and assess the area. Our London hospital specialises in labiaplasty procedures and vaginal rejuvenation treatments. Get in touch to learn more about the procedure and labiaplasty cost in London.

    Concerns Treated

    • Reduce the size of the labia minora (inner skin flaps)
    • Reduce the size of the labia majora (outer skin flaps)
    • Reverse the natural ageing process of the intimate area
    • Help the vagina to look more symmetrical

    What Will Happen During Surgery?

Surgery is carried out under general or local anaesthetic. Small incisions are made to remove any excess tissue or to even-out the edges of the labia. The excess labial tissues are marked out in a specific pattern that will facilitate their removal. Prior to your procedure, the ideal results are discussed with you for our surgeons to perfect during the procedure. Sutures are then placed where the incisions were made and these sutures should dissolve within a few weeks. After the procedure is complete, you will recover in our private facility until you are discharged. For recovery information, please read our FAQs.

How soon will I see the results after treatment?

The time it takes to see the full results following a labiaplasty can vary. After surgery, you may experience some swelling or bruising. As these side effects subside, you’ll start to see your desired results.

    Is a labiaplasty painful?

A labiaplasty is a relatively minor procedure and any pain following surgery can be managed easily with painkillers. You are likely to experience some mild discomfort and swelling but are able to return to your normal activities after around 2 weeks. Please discuss your concerns with our surgeon.

    Are labiaplasty results permanent?

Results following a labiaplasty are permanent and patients can enjoy results without the need for further surgical procedures. A labiaplasty does not interfere with sexual intercourse or the ability to orgasm.
