VASERLipo provides an alternative fat reduction technique compared to more harsh techniques of body sculpting or fat removal. Vaser Liposuction is minimally invasive, yet powerful enough to provide effective, long term results. Fat can be removed on a number of areas, including the upper & lower abdomen, inner & outer thigh, flanks, buttocks as well as the double chin/neck. Gynecomastia, more commonly known as man boobs can also be effectively treated using this method. Fat is melted using ultrasound heat and is sucked out during treatment using a cannula.
Fat cells are permanently removed during the procedure. This means that any weight gained after treatment will normally be evenly spread over the body, rather than in localized areas. VASERlipo is almost always performed under local anesthetic. This will depend on the size of the area being treated as well as the area, and of course your preferences. First your surgeon with thoroughly clean the area(s) and make a small incision. Again, depending on the area Incisions are often made in skin creases to hide any potential scars. VASERlipo requires a thin cannula being inserted into the incision that will then liquefy the fat using ultrasound waves that heat the area. Your surgeon will then use a suction device to remove this liquefied fat. During the procedure, skin is also tightened using the ultrasound and collagen production is stimulated. VASER® can sculpt and shape multiple areas in a single procedure. Your cosmetic surgeon will repeat this process for each of the areas agreed prior to treatment. You’ll then be stitched up with dressings and compression garments applied to the skin.

Many people will notice an immediate change following treatment. You will see some swelling after treatment and should allow time for your body to recover. You should allow 2-3 months to see the best VASERlipo results.
VASERlipo is almost always performed under local anesthetic. Pain following a VASERlipo procedure is usually minimal. Swelling may remain for a few weeks following the procedure. Your surgeon will provide you with the necessary aftercare information following treatment and taking pain killers is allowed.
Yes! Providing you maintain a healthy lifestyle, results are permanent and can be seen around 2-3 months following treatment. For enhanced results, patients should eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
The amount of fat that can be removed during your procedure will vary depending on the area treated and the patient. As a general rule, around 3 litres of fat can be removed per session.
Because there are limits on the amount of fat that is removed during treatment, VASERlipo is not suitable as an obesity treatment. The procedure is ideal for those who have stubborn areas of fat that remain despite dieting and exercise.
