Breast Enlargement - Before and After Gallery

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

    What is Breast Enlargement Surgery?

For many women, their breasts represent their femininity. Fully developed by the time they are in their 20s, breasts do not retain their appearance. They tend to lose their shape, size, and firmness as women:

    • Age and breast tissue lose elasticity
    • Experience hormonal changes
    • Go through weight fluctuations
    • give birth and/or breastfeed

While these changes happen to every woman, they can be especially devastating. Not only do deflated, saggy breasts alter a woman’s physical appearance, but they also affect her self-esteem and confidence. So, what do you do if you are dissatisfied with your breasts?

You can opt for a breast enlargement surgery to reclaim your feminine curves. Also known as a “breast augmentation” or more commonly as a “boob job,” this surgery involves the strategic insertion of silicon or saline implants to create fuller and firmer breasts. But the benefits don’t stop there. In addition to achieving a more shapely silhouette, breast enlargement surgery can address other concerns, such as asymmetry and flatness, thus bringing harmony to your overall appearance.

At London Private Hospital, breast augmentation is our most sought-after cosmetic procedure, and for good reason! Our highly personalised approach is more than helping you reach your desired aesthetic goals. We also strive to match your body proportions. The final result? A beautifully enhanced bust that looks amazing and feels incredibly natural!

If you are someone who is dissatisfied with the size or shape of your breasts, an enlargement surgery may be just the transformative solution you need! Whether you’re looking to go up a cup size or restore lost volume, a boob job can bring you closer to feeling more confident, sexy, and unstoppable in your own skin. So why wait? Take the first step towards a more confident you and schedule your consultation today. Your journey to a fuller, more beautiful silhouette starts here.

What Concerns Does a Breast Enlargement Treat?

Breast enlargement surgery is a suitable option for individuals looking to address any of the following concerns:

    • Enlarge naturally small breasts
    • Restore breast shape
    • Restore breast volume after pregnancy
    • Restore breast volume after weight loss
    • Bring symmetry in cases of unevenness

    What Happens During Breast Surgery?

At London Private Hospital, breast enlargement surgery is a relatively straightforward procedure that can deliver truly life-changing results. It is performed under general anaesthetic and generally takes 2 hours to complete.

Depending on the type and size of the implant as well as your aesthetic goals, your surgeons employ one of three incision techniques:

    • Under the breast
    • Around the nipple
    • Close to the armpit

Once the implant has been skillfully inserted and your surgeon is satisfied with the placement and size, the incision will be expertly closed and dressed. To support your recovery and ensure your comfort, a specially designed support bra will be provided post-surgery.

In most cases of breast enlargement, it is normal for fluid and blood to accumulate around the implant following surgery. To prevent any complications, such as hardening, and promote optimal healing, you may require drainage.

    Breast Enlargement Recovery

Breast enlargement recovery requires careful attention and following post-operative instructions. Immediately after surgery, you are moved to a recovery room where we monitor you. You may feel groggy and sore, but pain medication helps manage discomfort. You may need to spend a day or two in our facility. However, if healing is progressing nicely, you may be able to go home sooner with special aftercare instructions:

    • Rest for the first few days, as swelling and bruising are common. You’ll gradually feel better over the following weeks.
    • No strenuous activities or lifting heavy objects.
    • Wear a supportive bra to help speed up healing and provide extra support.
    • Follow the surgeon’s instructions on wound care and dressing changes.
    • Keep the surgical area dry and clean to prevent infection
    • Avoid alcohol and smoking. Both can slow the healing process.
    • Keep all follow-up appointments so your surgeon can check how your implants are settling and address any concerns.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures a smoother recovery and better final results.

Risks and Complications of Breast Surgery

Breast augmentation is an invasive procedure with certain risks and complications. These are listed below. While the chances of these are low, understanding them is central for making an informed decision. Your surgeon at London Private Hospital will thoroughly discuss all possible concerns. Only when you are completely confident will we move forward.

Infection: Infections are caused by bacteria that may enter the surgical site during or after surgery. Surgeons prescribe antibiotics to prevent and treat these kinds of infections.

Nerve Damage: Nerves may be stretched, compressed, or even cut during surgery. This can cause nerve damage. Patients may feel a temporary or permanent loss of sensation, numbness, or tingling in their breast area.

Implant Rupture: Implants may rupture after surgery, especially if any trauma or excessive pressure is exerted. Manufacturing defects may also cause a rupture.

Implant Displacement: While implants naturally settle in place as inflammation decreases, they become displaced if they shift significantly from their original position. In such cases, a revision may be necessary.

Capsular Contracture: if the scar tissue around the implant tightens, it may squeeze the implant. This is known as capsular contracture. Patients may feel discomfort and see a change in the appearance of their breasts.

    Galactorrhea:
Breast surgery may stimulate the breast tissue, leading to abnormal milk production, i.e., galactorrhea. While this typically resolves independently, it may require treatment depending on the underlying cause.

Necrosis: Surgery may affect the blood supply to the breast tissue. If compromised, it can lead to tissue death, also known as
    necrosis.

Hematoma: During surgery, if blood accumulates in the surgical area, it can lead to swelling, pain, and possible bleeding during or after surgery.

Seroma: Seroma is when fluid collects around the implant or in the surgical site and usually resolves on its own. However, it may require drainage to prevent infection.

Risks of Anaesthesia: General anaesthesia also carries inherent risks. These include adverse reactions, respiratory complications, nausea, and vomiting.

    Breast Enlargement FAQs

Will I have a scar after breast enlargement surgery?

Most of our patients do not see any significant scarring after surgery. Having said that, scars are still possible. While they generally fade over time, we offer several scar management options to reduce their appearance if you feel like your scars are too visible.

    Is a breast augmentation permanent?

Yes! Breast implants are permanent and many patients enjoy long-lasting results. But these implants do last a lifetime. They do degrade after 10 – 15 years. Your breast appearance, volume, and implant position may change because of:

    Ageing
    Hormonal changes
    Childbirth
    Weight fluctuations
    Lifestyle

How do I know which size breast implants are best?

The best breast implants depend on things including:

    Your frame and body proportions
The amount of breast tissue you have
    Your skin elasticity

It may be difficult to judge these factors on your own. So consult our expert cosmetic surgeons. With hundreds of surgeries in their repertoire, they are skilled at matching implants to aesthetic goals.

Will my nipple lose sensation after breast surgery?

There is a slight risk of experiencing a loss of nipple sensation after a boob job. But as the breast tissue heals, the feel typically returns. To minimise the risk of this numbness, our surgeons take every necessary precaution during and after surgery. Our medical team also closely monitor you to ensure your healing goes smoothly.

Can I breastfeed after breast enlargement surgery?

Yes! Many patients who have had a boob job have gone on to breastfeed successfully because this procedure does not disturb the milk glands in the breast.

How long does a boob job take?

The procedure itself only takes approximately 2 hours. However, that does not mean that is all the time required. You must also set aside appropriate time for recovery and achieve the best results.

Can I get a breast augmentation in London?

Breast enlargement surgery may be perfect if you tick any of these boxes:

You are not happy with the size of your breasts
You are not pleased with the shape of your breasts
Your breasts are uneven or asymmetric
You are looking for a confidence boost
You are transitioning from male to female.
